The round of 16 for the knockout stages of the Champions League will begin this week.
The current title holders, Manchester City, will be playing on Tuesday against FC Copenhagen. FC Copenhagen surprised everyone by beating Manchester United in the group stages and earning a spot in the two-legged knockout rounds.
Arsenal secured their spot as group champions after a strong comeback in Europe’s premier club tournament. They will head to Porto before hosting their initial Champions League elimination match at Emirates Stadium next month, marking their first appearance in the round of 16 since seven years ago.
Barcelona will face Napoli in a showdown of Spanish and Italian champions, while Paris Saint-Germain was fortunate to avoid a challenging matchup after coming in second place in Group G. They will take on Real Sociedad instead.
Inter Milan, who came in second place last season, will face Atletico Madrid, who were also defeated finalists in 2014 and 2016. PSV will go up against Borussia Dortmund, while Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich will take on Lazio. Real Madrid is set to play against RB Leipzig.
