View a real-time feed of the Israel-Gaza border on Saturday, February 10th, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructs the military to arrange the removal of Rafah.
The leader of Israel has directed the military to create a two-pronged strategy to both remove and strike Rafah, the remaining safe haven for Palestinians in Gaza. This decision has been made despite numerous alerts from aid organizations about potential violence and opposition from the United States, who predicts disastrous consequences from an attack.
According to Mr Netanyahu, it is not feasible to achieve the war’s objectives without entering the southern border city and removing what he alleges to be the final stronghold of Hamas. Hamas is responsible for a violent attack within Israel on October 7th.
He stated that a large-scale operation was necessary and directed the military and security authorities to create a joint plan for evacuating civilians and dismantling the battalions.
