According to palace aides, Prince Harry has no plans to visit his brother Prince William during his current trip, despite the fact that the distant royal quickly went to be with their father after he received a cancer diagnosis.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Duke of Sussex was seen arriving at Clarence House at 2:42pm, just under 24 hours after Buckingham Palace revealed that King Charles III had been diagnosed with a “form of cancer.”
The duo reportedly conversed for approximately 45 minutes, following which the king and Queen Camilla were observed departing.
This was their initial official face-to-face gathering since the burial of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022. Harry and Meghan Markle were present at King Charles’ coronation in May, but did not engage with the monarch or his spouse.
On Tuesday afternoon, Prince Harry was seen arriving at Clarence House.
Although the two have reunited, sources claim that there are no plans for a meeting between him and his brother William, who have apparently been in a feud for several years.
According to sources, the brothers have nothing planned in their schedule.
A reliable source close to William disclosed to The Times that there are currently no arrangements for the future king to have a meeting with Harry.
It is unknown how long Harry will remain in the UK, as he has not been back since September of last year when he participated in a charitable function.
According to a source quoted by The Mirror, Harry is considering spending more time in England in order to be physically present for his father. The source also mentioned that his wife has given him approval for this decision.
Prince William, whose spouse, Catherine, Princess of Wales, is recovering from abdominal surgery, is expected to resume his royal duties on Wednesday.
According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, there is still no improvement in the relationship between the brothers.
The depth of the disagreement between the brothers was revealed in January when Prince Harry shared in his book, Spare, a series of accusations against Prince William.
In late 2023, tensions rose even more due to leaked copies of Omid Scobie’s book “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.” The book claimed that the Princess of Wales and King Charles, two prominent members of the British royal family, had discussed the skin tone of Harry and Meghan’s unborn child.
Mr. FitzWilliams described the recent incident as causing a severe strain on relations.
Fitzwilliams, along with other observers of the royal family, expressed his desire for them to come together during this difficult period. He stated, “During a crisis, families should stick together.”
Before the Palace announced the news to the public at 6pm on Monday, Charles made personal phone calls to Harry, William, and his siblings Anne, the Duke of York, and the Duke of Edinburgh.
On Tuesday, Prince Harry was spotted departing from Heathrow Airport’s exclusive Windsor Suite, after an 11-hour flight from a private terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
