Inter Milan reclaimed the top spot in Serie A after Lautaro Martinez scored an early goal in their tough 1-0 victory over Fiorentina, with Nicolas Gonzalez failing to convert a late penalty for the opposing team.
In another location, Lazio and Napoli faced off in a unmemorable 0-0 tie at Stadio Olimpico, and Caleb Ekuban scored the deciding goal as Genoa overturned a deficit to defeat Lecce 2-1.
Nikola Krstovic scored for the away team shortly after the 30-minute mark, but Mateo Retegui tied the game with 20 minutes left and Ekuban sealed the comeback shortly after.
Andrea Colpani’s score secured a victory for Monza against Sassuolo with a score of 1-0. Similarly, Kaio Jorge’s goal neutralized Tomas Suslov’s penalty, resulting in a draw for Frosinone against Hellas Verona.
