Travelers aboard a Thai AirAsia plane traveling from Bangkok to Phuket were surprised to see a snake in the storage area above their seats.
The finding caused certain passengers to relocate from the seats nearest to the snake, while others captured the reptile on their phones. A user with the username @wannabnailssalon shared a TikTok video of the event, which has amassed over 3.4 million views since its upload.
On January 13, a small snake was observed gliding across the cabin lights of an AirAsia Airbus A320 aircraft.
According to reports, a member of the flight crew attempted to catch the snake by using an empty plastic water bottle. The serpent was eventually contained in a garbage bag with the assistance of a plastic bottle.
The origin of the snake’s presence on the plane was not immediately apparent.
As the plane was getting ready to land at Phuket airport, a snake was discovered on board.
After the plane arrived, it underwent a thorough search. According to reports, no additional snakes were discovered.
There were some individuals on TikTok who compared the scenario to the movie “Snakes on a Plane,” a 2006 action thriller featuring Samuel L Jackson as an FBI agent who must protect a witness on a plane from criminals who set loose poisonous snakes, resulting in mayhem.
The Independent has contacted AirAsia for a response.
