Fashion enthusiasts are pondering a straightforward query – who wore it better?
Following her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on January 11, Emily Blunt’s outfit caught the attention of viewers. It was noted that she wore an all-black jumpsuit with a backless design, which was the same one previously worn by Lenny Kravitz to the 2024 Golden Globes. Even though both A-listers styled the Alexander McQueen jumpsuit in their own unique ways, many people still debated which look they liked better.
The star of A Quiet Place rocked a polished appearance with simple accessories, black open-toe heels, and a casual low bun. In contrast, the musician showed up at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 7th for the 81st annual Golden Globes wearing a jumpsuit and coordinating dark round sunglasses. Kravitz chose black pointed-toe boots and multiple silver rings. Both elevated the funky design to a more sophisticated and stylish level.
Colbert mentioned something that I had not noticed before. He said that you are incredibly attractive, but he also noted that Lenny Kravitz wore the same outfit at the Golden Globes last weekend.
Blunt imitated Kravitz’s red carpet stance from Sunday evening as the crowd erupted in excitement. She then inquired about their choice for the better outfit, to which the response was a unanimous “You.”
However, while those in front of her expressed their preference for the McQueen piece on her, others online shared their own opinions.
One fan of the actress exclaimed, “Emily totally killed it,” while another commented, “Emily! I had to watch it for myself.”
On the Instagram page of the talk show, a person joked: “Looks like the stylist got fired…”
“I’m sorry, but I believe Lenny looked better in it,” a straightforward viewer expressed a different opinion.
“I adore her, but Lenny,” someone else chimed in.
A devoted fan mentioned: “She is amazing, but even if Lenny wore a loose dress, she would still look good.”
Blunt confessed that she was not bothered by the fact that Kravitz had previously worn the same outfit. During an interview with Colbert, she stated, “I noticed him confidently strutting at the Golden Globes. I had already chosen this [outfit] for your show and I decided, ‘You know what? I’m still going to wear it.'”
There is something about Lenny Kravitz that, when he enters a room, his coolness overshadows everyone else’s. It almost feels like a bus running over their coolness, making it disappear.
The British actress’s choice for her Golden Globes outfit was a stunning ensemble complete with sparkles. She chose a pink chiffon gown adorned with intricate gold floral embroidery from McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2024 pre-collection, designed by Sarah Burton.
