On the evening of Thursday, January 4th, Tesco apparently experienced a significant disruption both online and in their physical stores.

Customers attempting to access the online shopping platform were greeted with a notification stating, “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties, but our team is working on resolving the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience and kindly ask that you try again later.”

Some individuals on social media also alleged that they encountered difficulties checking out. One person even expressed frustration after spending two hours shopping in the store and leaving without making a purchase.

Another user of X reported, “I am unable to access the app or website to complete my shopping.”

Shortly after 9pm, DownDetector website recorded a surge in reports of a Tesco outage.

As of the time of posting, there has been no update from Tesco on their social media accounts.
