After two days, authorities located a missing 14-year-old who had disappeared from a pub. The teenager, who was considered vulnerable, has been found by the police.
The Wiltshire Police had become increasingly worried about the well-being of the girl after she was spotted entering a dark vehicle on Friday night in Sherston, near Malmesbury.
On the evening of New Year’s Eve, Wiltshire Police verified that they had located her at a residence outside of the county and that she was under the care of the police.
A male in his twenties has been apprehended for allegedly abducting a child and is currently being held by the police for interrogation.
The adolescent was located mere hours after her mother made a desperate appeal for her child to come back home.
She advised the BBC: “If you are able to read this, then kindly return home or reach out to someone to ensure them that you are safe and sound.”
We are thinking of you and we care deeply about you. You are not in any difficulty and we are very worried about your well-being.
The adolescent was last spotted on Friday night sporting blue shorts made of fleece and a Bambi t-shirt in white.
According to reports, she was observed entering a dark-colored, older model station wagon near the Angel Pub on Sherston High Street at 7:30pm.
At the time she went missing, she did not have a coat and her hair was blonde and down.
