Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is expected to select a mostly strong team for their match against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening. The Gunners boss gave an update on the injuries of three midfielders.
Jorginho is currently uncertain to play, but there is a possibility that he will be able to join the team as a substitute. Mohamed Elneny is nearly fully recovered and Thomas Partey is still unavailable due to injury. However, Arsenal does not have any other concerns related to injuries as they prepare for their upcoming game against Liverpool at Anfield, where they hope to break their streak of not winning.
Since Arteta’s time as a player for the Gunners in 2012, Arsenal has not emerged victorious at Anfield. Last season, the London team lost a two-goal advantage as their hopes for a Premier League title diminished in the spring. In addition, they have experienced multiple significant defeats against Jurgen Klopp’s squad in recent times.
Arteta, who had extra time during the week to get his team ready following Arsenal’s elimination from the Carabao Cup, stated on Friday: “Thomas Partey is still completing his recovery. He has not yet practiced with the team. Hopefully, Mo Elneny will practice with us today. Jorginho’s availability is still uncertain.”
Klopp has energized the Liverpool supporters before the upcoming match against Arsenal on Saturday night. He has urged fans to create an electrifying atmosphere at Anfield. Arteta was questioned about the difficulty his team will face while playing in Merseyside.
“It will be a unique atmosphere for both teams and a formidable opponent,” stated Arteta. “We will prepare to win and give it our all – it will be a highly intense game.”

Maintaining the top spot in this league is always a great feeling, and we must be strategic in how we handle the game.
The last time we defeated them was quite some time ago and it was a memorable occasion, which is something we can recreate tomorrow.
