People in Gaza urgently seek assistance bundles as trucks arrive, despite a lack of communication.

On Sunday, December 17th, residents in Gaza eagerly sought out aid packages in Rafah, a city near the border, as trucks delivering supplies drove through.

The video depicted individuals trailing the assistance vehicle; some had mounted on top and tossed boxes downwards to those on the street.

It came as Gaza remained under a communications blackout for a fourth straight day, which has been the longest outage since the conflict with Israel ignited following Hamas’ attack of 7 October.

Approximately 75% of the population, which amounts to 2.3 million people, have been forced to leave their homes.
