On October 25, 2021, a recently published video depicts the apprehension of individuals at Darent Industrial Park in Kent, where a shipment from Colombia was being offloaded.
The Metropolitan Police reported that drugs were brought into the country by coating broomsticks with cocaine-infused lacquer and shipping them in a container through legal channels.
On Thursday (14 December), six individuals were sentenced to a collective 135 years in prison by Kingston Crown Court for their involvement in a cocaine importation scheme.
