The loved ones of the woman who lost her life in an explosion at a South Wales industrial site have expressed their heartfelt sentiments about her, describing her as a smart, compassionate, and lovely person.
The police have announced that Danielle Evans, a 40-year-old woman, was officially identified by her family this morning. They are receiving assistance from trained officers. Evans was the owner of Celtic Food Labs, a business based on Treforest Industrial Estate, where the fire occurred.
A surprise explosion occurred on Wednesday evening at around 7pm, causing an emergency incident to be declared at the estate on Severn Road in Treforest.
According to a tribute posted by the local police, the family of Ms. Evans stated that she was a dynamic and vibrant woman. Her absence has created an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her loved ones. She was a kind, intelligent, and lovely person.
“She started her own successful laboratory business – Celtic Food Labs. Poured her heart and soul into it, but the most important things to her were her husband, family, dogs and friends.
They stated that she was a devoted and affectionate spouse, and the most trustworthy companion one could ask for. She greeted both strangers and acquaintances with an unwavering, contagious and caring spirit.
She drew you into her circle in a way that no one else you have met or will meet again has. She was like a magnet that brought us all together.
Her interests included science, camping, socializing with friends, and spending time with her beloved family. She was a fantastic aunt and treasured every moment spent with her nieces. She came from a close-knit and loving family, and had a deep bond with her parents, brother, aunts, and uncles. Her love knew no bounds.
She had a profound impact on numerous individuals. While we will deeply miss her, we have many incredible memories that we created and hold dear.
The family expressed their gratitude towards the emergency services who responded to the situation and acted with professionalism and heroism. They wanted to give a sincere and significant thank you for their efforts.
The local NHS emergency departments were on heightened alert following the fire, and individuals were advised to only go to the A&E if it was absolutely essential.
Eyewitnesses recounted the explosion resembling a “fireball” and shared videos of the massive inferno that erupted. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the origin of the fire, and there have been no reports of significant injuries.
Detective Superintendent Richard Jones expressed his condolences to Danielle’s loved ones and coworkers during this challenging period.
I appreciate the patience and understanding of the businesses in Treforest Industrial Estate and the local residents as this work continues.
A website has been created to enable the general public to submit videos from their mobile phones, CCTV footage, or any other relevant information that could aid in the investigation.
