However, he commended the force for their exceptional efforts in difficult and challenging situations.
Minister for Justice Helen McEntee stated that those responsible for the recent violence in Ireland will be held accountable. This statement comes after McEntee and Commissioner Drew Harris of the police force received backlash for their alleged lack of preparation for the events.
32 individuals have been charged in connection with the riots thus far.
On Saturday afternoon, Garda informed The Independent that the young girl, aged five, who was stabbed, is still in a critical state at CHI Temple Street.
The child care provider, a female in her thirties, is currently in a stable condition at The Mater Hospital.
At present, an individual in their late forties is receiving medical care in a hospital within the Dublin area. According to the Garda, this person is still considered a potential suspect as they continue to look into the stabbing incident.

The police dog and horse units are being sent out, and it has been reported that two water cannons are ready for use if needed.
The water cannon are on loan from the Police Service of Northern Ireland following a request for mutual aid from Garda Commissioner Drew Harris.
If used, only members of An Garda Siochana will operate them.
